Korean Natural Farming

Organic Agricultural Method

Indigenous microorganisms (IMO) are key to active soil life.

The critical element in the production of high quality IMO is to collect and culture appropriate population of soil microorganisms (fungi-dominant or bacteria-dominant) specific to your area, typically within dense forests and bushlands these are bacterial and fungal growth found in one’s specific farming zone(within the soil, under tree's around the trunks, leaf piles, dense forests& bushland area, a easy source to find is dried out honky nuts at the base of the tree)

One of the best indications of a high content of beneficial organisms is the presence fungi mycelium growing on organic/decaying material.

Korean Natural Farming produces a good yield when the land cultivated has an excellent soil condition for crops.Microorganisms play an important role in making soil good for growing plants. These microorganisms can also be collected and cultured.Natural Farming promotes the use of IndigenousMicroorganisms (IMOs). The microorganisms that have been living in the local area for a long time are best for farming because they are very powerful and effective. They hav esurvived and can survive the extreme climatic conditions of the local environment much better than artificially produced microorganisms, which are cultured in some foreign or artificial environment. And since they are already available in the field, they are considered the best inputs for conditioning the land.

Microorganisms decompose complex organic compounds such as dead bodies of plants and animals and wastes into nutrients, making them easily absorbable by plants.

They can create compounds such as antibiotic substances, enzymes and lactic acids that can suppress various diseases and promote healthy soil conditions.IMOs are used primarily to create fertile and healthy soil condition that is ideal for farming and to prevent plant diseases. In Natural Farming, IMOs are used in treatments applied to the soil in order to improve its fertility and health.

KNF PRODUCT LIST CHART NEW:

Korean Natural Farming- KNF relies on creating various natural inputs to enhance soil fertility, plant health, and overall farming sustainability.

Here's a list of some common inputs we create.

  1. Indigenous Microorganisms- IMO - IMO Collection: Gather indigenous microorganisms from your local environment, such as forests or healthy soils, to create IMO. You'll need a container, rice, and water.

  2. Fermented Plant Juice- FPJ - FPJ is made by fermenting various plant materials to capture their beneficial properties. Examples include: - FPJ from young, actively growing plants like nettle, catnip, or comfrey.

  3. Fermented Fruit Juice- FFJ - FFJ is created by fermenting fruits. Common choices include: - banana, papaya, or apple.

  4. Natural Farming Solutions- NFS - NFS such as EM combines multiple natural ingredients to create a potent plant nutrient. Ingredients may include plant juice, seawater, vinegar, and IMO.

  5. Lactic Acid Bacteria- LAB - LAB is essential for fermenting various inputs. You can create LAB from rice wash & milk.

  6. Oriental Herbal Nutrient- OHN - OHN is a blend of medicinal herbs and 40%+ alcohol, used for plant health and pest resistance.

  7. Calcium and Phosphorus Solutions- Water Soluble Calcium (WSC eggshells) & Water soluble Calcium Phosphorus (WSCP- Bones/Sea Shells) These solutions are made using eggshells and bones for calcium and phosphorus sources.

  8. Fish Amino Acid-FAA - FAA is made from fish waste and is a valuable source of amino acids for plant growth.

  9. Brown Rice Vinegar- BRV - BRV can be created by fermenting brown rice and is used in some KNF recipes. From this process you can extend it to

Water Soluble Calcium (WSC eggshells) & Water soluble Calcium Phosphate (WSCP-Bones/Sea Shells)

  10. Natural Pesticides and Pest Controls - KNF also involves creating natural pest control solutions using chilli, garlic, ginger, and other ingredients to deter pests.

  11. Jadam Microbial Solution- JMS - JMS is similar to LAB but uses a different preparation method involving specific proportions of plant materials potatoes and sea salt.

  12. Jadam Wetting Agent- JWA - JWA is a soap based wetting agent, Aloe Vera pulp is a natural wetting agent.

  13. Aerobic Compost Tea - While not exclusive to KNF, compost tea is used to improve soil biology and plant health.

Remember that the specific ingredients and methods for creating these inputs may vary based on local conditions and the crops you're cultivating. Proper fermentation and storage techniques are crucial to maintaining the quality and effectiveness of these natural inputs in Korean Natural Farming.
